Composite stem glasses feature stems constructed from two or more distinct manufacturing techniques, typically combining air twist, opaque twist, or faceted sections created during the mid-eighteenth century.

These pieces were predominantly crafted from lead glass, which offered high clarity, weight, and a resonant ring when struck, distinguishing them from contemporary soda glass.

Authenticity is assessed through characteristics such as pontil marks on the base, wear patterns consistent with age, tool marks from hand-forming, and the specific composition of the lead metal.

Antique stemware can be displayed within illuminated cabinet shelving or arranged on a dedicated bar tray to introduce historic texture and refined craftsmanship into contemporary living spaces.

Antique glass should be washed exclusively by hand in warm water using mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and abrasive materials to protect the historic surface.
