Description

Wonderful pair of Scottish Edwardian oak sectional bookcases features stunning leaded glass doors and is in excellent antique condition. One bookcase bears the Globe Wernicke label, while the other is marked with the Wylie & Lochhead Ltd plaque, showcasing their prestigious origins.

Constructed from original bookcase sections with metal side strappings, these bookcases rest on a shaped plinth with fitted drawers. Each section boasts lift-up, slide-away doors with original mechanisms and brass knob handles. The cornices and bases are easily detachable, ensuring convenient transport.

The beautiful warm colour and remarkable graining of these bookcases make them a captivating addition to any home or office. The long drawer in the base glides smoothly and is adorned with decorative metal pull handles. As with all antique furniture, there are some imperfections, but they do not detract from the overall charm and solidity of these bookcases.
