Rene Lalique was a pioneer of Art Nouveau jewellery before transitioning to industrial glass production during the 1920s and 1930s, becoming a defining figure of the Art Deco movement through innovative moulding and contrast techniques.

Pieces are typically crafted from high-quality pressed or blown glass, often featuring contrasting clear and frosted finishes achieved through acid-etching or staining to highlight intricate relief details.

Authentic period pieces usually bear etched, moulded, or engraved signatures such as R. Lalique France, often accompanied by model numbers, alongside precise weight, sharp mould seams, and characteristic satin-finished surfaces.

Place the piece on a sideboard, coffee table, or open shelving where natural light can pass through the moulded glass, highlighting its textural relief and geometric or floral motifs.

Clean the object gently using lukewarm water and mild soap with a soft cloth, avoiding harsh abrasives, ultrasonic cleaners, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to protect the finish.
