Victorian glassware from this period frequently featured vibrant colours, such as green and amber, alongside mould-blown or hand-cut designs inspired by natural motifs and geometric patterns.

These items were typically crafted from lead crystal or soda-lime glass, often coloured using metallic oxides like iron or chromium to achieve distinct hues like green.

Authenticity is assessed by examining the pontil mark on the base, surface wear such as light scratches consistent with age, and minor bubbles or imperfections within the glass mass.

They are often displayed on open shelving, bar carts, or sideboards to add historical texture and colour to dining and living spaces.

Historic glass should always be washed by hand using lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives and sudden temperature changes.
