Pareglio & Ayres Antiques Interiors has dated this Victorian Harpist Music Stool to the 19th Century.
A turned canon centre column with a cross stretcher unites the cabriole legs.

This harpist stool is of the highest quality and was most probably made by Jennens & Bettridge of Birmingham (1815-1864), the well respected papier mache manufactures, in the 1840’s. The steel rise and fall assembly was made by J Fitter also of Birmingham.

The stool is in very good overall condition, there is some wear with slight crackling to the lacquer and a repair to the seat edge, please see photo.
Due to the fact that this is an antique item and of delicate nature it's now sold as a decorative item.
