A good example of a pair of glass inkwells dating from the late 19th Century. They are Stourbridge ''dumps'', so called because they were made from the left over glass at the end of the day. They are a striking green colour with decorative bubbles inside. They have a well inside for ink and both come with their original tops.
They are in very good condition for their age. There are some minor surface marks, some signs of age and use and a very small chip on one stopper (see photo) but nothing detrimental or untoward and they display beautifully.
