DUVERDRY & BLOQUEL, a renowned clockmaking company in Saint-Nicholas-d’Aliermont, near Dieppe, can be traced back to 1867 when the company was first formed by Albert Villon, Joseph Bloquel and Paul Duverdry. Following Villon’s death in 1902 Joseph Bloquel and Paul Duverdry established a new partnership, using the trademark of a lion, that can be seen on the backplate of this clock.
