Technical Description

A very fine pair of Josephinenhutte hock glasses dating to c1900. They have ruby bowls engraved with bohemian castles and flowers. Clear slice cut stems above ruby engraved conical feet.

Date & Origin

Silesia, c1900.

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown.

Dimensions

Height: 19.3cm

Rim diameter: 6.5cm

Foot diameter: 8.2cm.

Historical Context

Hand-blown around the time of the one and only Olympic cricket match, held in Paris on the 19th of August 1900.
