A late 19th century French mantel clock in alabaster, the architectural plinth case with an arched top with a small platform supporting a cherub with a harp, over a 3¼”white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black and outer minute markers, blued steel hands and gilt bezel and an eight day timepiece movement, and with a pair of gilt brass finials on either side with gilt brass line and chain decoration, raised on gilt brass feet, French circa 1880. Supplied with its pendulum and a winding key.
Condition: Overall very good, the clock is in excellent condition, the case is in very good condition with the exception of a small (and discreet) repair on one corner by the dial, the gilding is in excellent condition, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in excellent working order. Overall this is a charming clock with elegant proportions and pretty details.
