Victor Saglier – enamelled green glass box with lid. The box and lid decorated with garlands and leaves. Marked to the glass and metalwork with the Victor Saglier mark. Very decorative patinated brass lid with acorn finial. Excellent original condition
He is well known for his Art Nouveau pieces of work and manufactured several pieces for Majorelle and Gallé. When he passed away, the Victor Saglier company, located at 12 rue d''''Enghein in Paris, became Saglier Brothers. It was run by his brothers Eugčne and André until the latter died in 1948.
