The convex glass door has a brass bezel which is opened by a side key fitted with a bone eschucheon. The dial is named Cole of Hove, a retailer/repairer. The movement has heavy plates and a twin fusees with a heavy pendulum, striking the hours on a gong. (England, c. 1890)
