Victorian cut glass encompasses decorative and functional vessels produced during the reign of Queen Victoria, characterised by deep geometric incisions and high-clarity lead crystal that refracts light effectively.

These items are typically crafted from heavy lead crystal shaped by glassblowing or moulding, then hand-cut on stone wheels to create facets, paired with sterling silver or silver-plated accessories.

Authenticity is determined by examining weight, lead content clarity, hand-cut facet crispness with minor surface wear, and appropriate hallmarks on silver components indicating the period of manufacture.

They can be displayed on sideboards or open shelving to introduce reflective surfaces, historic texture, and refined elegance into contemporary dining and living spaces.

Clean crystal gently in lukewarm water with mild detergent, avoiding extreme temperature shifts, and polish silver components with a soft microfibre cloth using specialised silver cleaner as needed.
