A Novelty Victorian Miniature Silver Thimble Case

This is a charming and collectable item of Victorian silver sewing ware. This unusual piece is a chatelaine or fob chain thimble case. The body is beautifully engraved with panels of acanthus leaves and unscrews at the centre. There is an attaching ring and loop to the side and upon opening, one finds a delightful miniature brass thimble enclosed. An interesting and unusual collector''s piece. Dimensions below.
