This beautiful and rather impressive George III silver cream jug bears the London Assay marks and dates circa 1820. Of oval bellied form, it is finely bright-engraved on the upper section and embossed with foliate scrolls below the girdle. The foliate decorations surrounding a vacant cartouche to the front. Reeded border and reeded angular handle. The interior still retaining the original gilt wash. The base raised on four ball feet.
