Hedley Wilson has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The oak case with ebonised inlays , and a single ebonised finial on the hood.
The white dial with a subsidiary seconds dial, is signed by William Lithgow of Portobello
( Edinburgh), and has an eight day duration four pillar movement.
Including the finial the clock is only 6' 6" high.
