Small Skeleton Clock with Glass Dome

19th century
Description

A smaller size 'Skeleton clock' or timepiece with an oval glass dome and black ebonised base. Standing on 4 well turned pilasters, the single fusee movement will run for 8 days on a full wind. The pierced frame is made out of thick cast/solid brass and has six pillars, with an elegant fretted chapter ring showing Roman numerals. Great condition. Made circa 1880.
