Charming Mantle Clock with Ebonised Case and Attractive Chinoiserie Decoration.

Height 8.75in or 22cm.

Good Quality Kienzle 8 Day Movement Striking the Number of Hours on The O’clock.

The Movement has been Checked, Serviced & Tested to be in Full and Good Antique Working Order.

The Dial Inscribed “Pleasance & Harper Bristol” (Somerset) who traded between 1879 and 1940 when their Premises were Destroyed by Enemy Bombs.

The Origins of Kienzle goes back to 1787 and Johannes Schlenker. He was Succeded by his Son Karl. Subsequently, the company was passed to his Son in law Dr. Ing. Jacob Kienzle (1859-1935). The Movement is Marked with the Kienzle “Clock Face with Wings.”
