Elegant Regency Longcase Clock.

19th century
Description

An extremely fine Regency period, longcase clock made in Bath by Thomas Field,circa1810.

This clock features a very elegant 'flame' Mahogany case with a superb patina. The case and hood are canted & fluted with brass reeding. The round dial is silvered and features a calendar aperture above the '6' and seconds hand within the Roman numerals. The clock strikes the hours and when wound will run for 8 days. Perfectly proportioned and would work well in most interiors either traditional or modern. You really don't see many as good as this anymore!
