Matthew Boulton Large Old Sheffield Plated Meat Dome

This fine large meat dome is made of Old Sheffield Plate and marked for highly respected maker Matthew Boulton. Dating to c1820, this fantastic meat dome has two large inlaid silver cartouches bearing the impressive coat of arms of the Duke of Somerset on both sides. This is an expectional piece with a gorgeous large ornate handle.
The condition is very good overall with a very clean silvered interior. There is only slight copper bleed to the raised rim at the base and a couple of minor knocks to the body.
