Its About Time has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Signed John Walker of 1 South Molton Street, a prominent clockmaker known for supplying railway clocks, established in 1830 and recorded operating out of Molton Street from 1906. The dial bears the number 4143, which is also written on the back of the dial plate and engraved into the rear of the case. The label to the rear of the case shows a stamp from Watford Junction, making it quite a rare clock from this area. The hour hand quite an unsual shape, suggesting perhaps that the movement was made by Benson.
