Regency Mahogany Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

Small proportioned Regency period mahogany bracket clock. It has a chamfer top surmounted by a brass pineapple. The case has brass inlay decoration with brass side handles and brass ball feet. The 6 inch diameter convex dial has a brass bezel and convex glass. The dial is signed by the maker, Moses Brighton. It has an 8 day fusee timepiece (doses not strike) pendulum movement, and glazed back door , with a holdfast screw for the pendulum.
