IT IS IRON BOUND AND WELL PROTECTED WHICH MAKES US THINK IT IS A CARRIAGE TRAVELLING BOX . ALSO CARRYING HANDLES ON THE SIDE WHICH ARE MADE OF BLACKSMITH,S WROUGHT IRON .
IT DATES AROUND 1700 AND IS IDEAL AS A LOW CENTRE TABLE , SIDE PIECE ,END OF THE BED ETC . IN FACT A GREAT PIECE OF DECORATION .
IN PERFECT UNTOUCHED CONDITION WITH A WARM MELLOW PATINA.
