Description

An impressive, larger proportioned French brass and gilded cased striking carriage clock. Gilt rococo mounts and carrying handle. Fluted front and rear columns with convex shape. An enamel dial with blued steel hands and black Roman numerals. 5 Minute outer dial markers and a gilt dial edged masking. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. A lever escapement. Push button repeating, Signed to the mechanism 'GB & E'. Circa 1910.
