Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian glassware, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by elaborate machine and hand-cut geometric patterns, heavy lead crystal construction, and often drew inspiration from earlier Georgian and Victorian motifs while embracing lighter, more refined proportions.

These pieces were typically crafted from heavy-lead crystal or fine flint glass, valued for its high refractive index and clarity, paired with hand-ground glass stoppers designed to create an airtight seal.

Authentic pieces often exhibit minor surface wear on the base from friction, hand-ground and polished pontil marks or smooth concave bottoms, distinctive sharpness to the hobnail or diamond cuts, and a resonant, clear ring when gently struck.

They can be displayed on a polished wooden sideboard or bar cart filled with amber-hued spirits to catch the light, or repurposed simply as sculptural glass objects on open shelving.

Antique glass should be washed by hand using warm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives and extreme temperature fluctuations that can cause thermal shock. Wooden-handled bottle brushes and specialised cleaning beads help remove internal residue without scratching the delicate interior.
