Opaque twist wine glasses are drinking vessels produced in England during the mid-to-late 18th century, featuring white or coloured enamel glass twists enclosed within the clear stem.

These pieces were crafted from lead crystal using free-blown techniques, with the stem formed by drawing out and twisting rods of opaque white enamel glass within the molten metal.

Authentic examples typically exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, irregularities in the glass such as small air bubbles, and a heavy feel due to the high lead content.

Historic glassware can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, utilized on open shelving as sculptural accents, or styled on sideboards to introduce historical texture and refined craftsmanship to a room.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in warm water using mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals and abrasive sponges, and dried immediately with a lint-free cloth to prevent water spots.
