Moxhams Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
1770 ~ perhaps made later in his career or made by his son.

Fine quality and well proportioned mahogany case of an excellent colour and patina. Attractive brass captital quarter columns on the hood trunk and base panel and shaped double plinth.
This clock would formally have been taller with a pagoda top. The only other restoration are the the brass finails which are replaced in the correct style; otherwise in good original condition.
