Description

An extremely good quality French Louis XIV style bronze gilt antique mantel clock with musical instruments, Roman soldiers helmet, shield and laurel leaves surmounted by two doves with flaming torch. The clock case has fluted detail with applied floral leaf motifs and pierced entwined design stood on toupie shaped feet with a white carrara marble base.

The clock has a white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hour on a bell.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name
