For your enjoyment I am proud to offer this twelve inch diameter dial authentic and genuine Victorian North Eastern Railway fusee clock, with provenance.This quality English chain-driven fusee movement has been fully overhauled and is in excellent condition, the movement having rectangular plates with screwed pillars. The mahogany case has fantastic colour and patination since its restoration and the lower case retains its stabilising hooks. There are inspection doors to each side of the back box and the lower door has its fully working original lock and key. Supplied to the N.ER circa 1900, the original twelve inch dial is in excellent unrestored condition; it was repainted post 1948 by the clock workshops at Doncaster and now displays BR NE 5301. Original spade hands and a spun bezel complete the appearance of this rare and handsome piece.
