Behind the door, the inside has the original lining on the back. There are two shelves & there is also a light inside, which I believe is a later addition. The original rouge marble just sits on the top & is a wonderful colour which compliments this piece nicely. The gilt bronze mounts & trimmings run all over the base & down to the legs which are also solid well cast gilt bronze.
