French Gilded Bronze Antique Hall Lantern

Description

A French gilded bronze four light antique hall lantern, the four light fittings with four leaf candle sconces, surrounded by four convex glass panels and held within a decorative scrolling framework with foliated leaf banding, ornate side sections and acorn finials with a scrolling leaf swaged canopy. Having the original chain and ceiling rose. Fully rewired and PAT tested. All our lanterns come with bulbs and ceiling fixings.

This French gilded bronze hall lantern dates from the early 20th century in the Louis XVI style. The gold-coloured piece comprises four convex glass panels held within a decorative scrolling framework featuring foliated leaf banding, ornate side sections, acorn finials, and a scrolling leaf swaged canopy, complemented by an internal set of four light fittings with leaf candle sconces, the original chain, and a ceiling rose. The metalwork displays detailed acanthus leaf embellishments and floral garlands. Measuring 63 cm high, 28 cm wide, and 28 cm deep excluding the chain and rose, the lighting fixture is suitable for hanging in a hallway or entryway to illuminate a home interior. The wiring has been fully updated.
