FAQs

Art Deco lighting from the 1920s and 1930s is defined by geometric shapes, streamlined forms, polished metals, and decorative moulded glass shades.

Lamps from this era commonly utilised chrome-plated brass or steel, cast metal bases, Bakelite components, and frosted or mottled pressed glass shades.

Authentic pieces feature period-appropriate construction, such as original shade fitters with thumb screws, weighted bases, geometric stepped moulding, and vintage socket fittings.

Position the lamp on a minimalist sideboard, bedside cabinet, or executive desk to serve as a sculptural accent that bridges contemporary and traditional interiors.

Dust the glass shade regularly with a soft microfibre cloth, clean polished chrome with a damp cloth or specialised metal polish, and ensure electrical wiring is inspected by a qualified electrician.
