This was a popular Victorian motif and has appeared in jewellery ever since. The Anchor became a symbol of hope because sailors' families hoped for a safe return from a dangerous mission or vocation.

The entire ring is sterling silver, with floral engraving around the shoulders accompanying the symbols. They stand out beautifully and would be a superb addition to any antique jewellery collection!
