Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Edwardian set of six sterling silver napkin rings comes housed in a fitted presentation case lined with green velvet and green silk. Each circular ring displays an engraved central band featuring foliate scrolls and a vacant shield with no initials, enclosed by beaded and reeded rims. Clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1906 and maker marks for Joseph Jennings and Co appear on the pieces. The presentation box measures 22 cm wide, 15 cm deep and 5 cm high, while each individual napkin ring stands 3.25 cm high with a width and depth of 4.75 cm. Places on a sideboard top, this set brings traditional English Country House character to a dining room or living space. The tableware functions practically during formal meals or serves as a decorative display within its silk and velvet-lined case when not in use.

During the Edwardian era from 1901 to 1910, boxed sets of sterling silver napkin rings were frequently manufactured as formal dining accessories, often gifted for special occasions to denote napkin ownership between launders.

These sets were constructed from sterling silver, meeting the British 925 fineness standard, and were typically presented inside lined timber display boxes upholstered with silk and velvet.

Authentic items display full British hallmarks comprising the lion passant for sterling silver, an anchor mark representing the Birmingham assay office, a date letter corresponding to the year, and an official makers mark.

These silver pieces can be styled on modern linen napkins atop dining tables or displayed open within their original case on sideboards to create textural contrast.

Maintain silver by wiping gently with a non-abrasive cotton cloth and specialised silver polish, avoiding harsh chemicals that can degrade engraved surface details.
