An antique double collar brooch pin from the late Victorian and Edwardian era, circa 1900, consists of two ribbon bow components in 15ct yellow gold connected by a delicate trace chain. Each bow motif is set with seed pearl pave and bright turquoise cabochons, complemented by pin hardware on the reverse. The stones are completely secure without chips or damage, while the pins spring back well and hold firmly. The two gold bows each measure 1.7 cm by 0.9 cm, the complete brooches measure 3 cm by 0.9 cm, the chain length is 5.7 cm, and the total weight is 3.36 grams. The item rests inside a brown box with a textured exterior and a decorative gold border along the lid edge. Today, this piece serves as a wearable accessory or an addition to a vintage jewellery collection. It can be worn pinned to a collar, lapel or garment, with the two elements linked across the fabric by the draped trace chain. The construction uses 15ct yellow gold for the bows and 9ct gold for the pins. The visible materials display yellow gold, white pearls, and turquoise stones. The box provides a protective housing for storage when not in use.

A double collar brooch features two matching ornamental pins joined by a fine safety chain, designed to attach to opposing shirt collar tips, lapels, or a blouse front.

Victorian jewellery frequently featured yellow gold, particularly 15ct or 18ct alloys, paired with natural seed pearls, turquoise cabochons, coral, or small gemstones set into fine filigree or scrollwork.

Authentic nineteenth-century British pieces often bear British hallmarks indicating purity, such as 15ct gold stamps (discontinued in 1932), hand-engraved details, tube hinges, C-clasps, and natural seed pearls set into grain or star settings.

An antique collar brooch can be worn attached to the collar tips of a crisp button-down shirt, pinned across a knitwear neckline, or styled on suit lapels to add historical texture to contemporary tailoring.

Turquoise and pearls are porous materials vulnerable to chemicals, perfumes, and water immersion. Clean gently using a dry microfibre cloth and store away from damp conditions or direct sunlight.
