Georgian silver encompasses items made during the reigns of the British Kings George I through IV, characteristically featuring classical proportions, intricate hand-chased motifs, and neoclassical influences.

These items were typically forged from sterling silver using traditional hand-raising, piercing, and embossing techniques by skilled silversmiths.

Authenticity is verified through clear hallmarks indicating the makers mark, standard mark, assay office, and date letter, alongside period-appropriate wear patterns and construction methods.

Antique silver tableware can be displayed on sideboards, used practically during formal dining events, or integrated into table settings to provide historical contrast against contemporary ceramics.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly using specialist non-abrasive silver polish, washed in warm soapy water, and stored in tarnish-resistant cloth to prevent oxidisation.
