We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver often reflects a transition from heavy Victorian ornamentation to lighter, neoclassical-inspired designs, featuring delicate piercing and elegant proportions.

These pieces are typically crafted from sterling silver (925 standard), often shaped through spinning or hammering, and finished with hand-pierced or engraved decorative borders.

Authenticity is verified through official British hallmarks, which typically include the makers mark, the sterling standard mark (such as a lion passant), the town mark for Birmingham (anchor), and the date letter for 1915.

An antique silver vase can be used as a striking tablescape centrepiece or styled on a mantelpiece, contrasting its polished metallic sheen with contemporary organic elements or minimalist decor.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly with a non-abrasive silver polish and a soft cloth to preserve the patina, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage historical hallmarks.
