Edwardian glassware, produced during the reign of King Edward VII, often features refined craftsmanship influenced by earlier Georgian and Victorian motifs, but with a lighter, more delicate aesthetic suited to sophisticated dining.

Rock crystal glass refers to high-quality lead crystal that is extensively wheel-engraved and polished to mimic the clarity and brilliance of natural quartz crystal, requiring immense skill from master artisans.

Authentic pieces often exhibit precise, intricate wheel-engraving, high refractive index lead crystal weight, and occasionally acid-etched signatures or factory marks characteristic of the makers output from the period.

These pieces can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets or styled on a bar cart to introduce sparkling texture, historical contrast, and refined elegance to modern dining spaces.

Antique crystal should always be washed by hand in lukewarm water using a mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and abrasive sponges, and dried immediately with a lint-free cloth.
