Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by geometric symmetry, clean lines, stylised motifs, and a strong reliance on platinum paired with contrasting gemstones like sapphires, rubies, and emeralds.

Jewellery from this era frequently utilised platinum for its strength and malleability, allowing for intricate openwork filigree and millegrain edging, alongside hand-cut diamonds and calibrated channel-set calibre stones.

Authentic pieces typically feature period-appropriate gemstone cuts such as old European or single-cut diamonds, handmade platinum settings with signs of age-related wear, and often makers marks or hallmarks specific to the early 20th century.

An antique cocktail ring serves as a striking standalone statement piece and pairs effectively with both minimalist modern attire and vintage-inspired evening wear to highlight its intricate architectural detailing.

Preserve the integrity of the platinum setting and delicate millegrain work by avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners; instead, use warm soapy water and a soft brush, and store the piece separately to prevent scratching.
