We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The Arts and Crafts movement emphasized handcraftsmanship, traditional techniques, and medieval or folk motifs, rebelling against mass industrial production by celebrating visible artisan marks such as hammering.

Pieces from this era were typically constructed from solid sterling silver, often shaped using traditional hand-raising and planishing techniques, supplemented by chased or applied decorative details.

Authenticity is verified by examining the hallmarks for the assay office, date letter, and makers mark, alongside observing surface characteristics such as hand-hammered textures rather than machine stamping.

Integrate the piece as a focal point on a polished wood surface, letting its reflective metallic finish create a sophisticated contrast against both minimalist and traditional surroundings.

Preserve the metal by storing it in a low-humidity environment, using specialised silver cloths sparingly to minimise abrasive wear, and avoiding harsh chemical dips that strip desirable patina.
