A runcible spoon is a hybrid eating utensil combining features of a fork and spoon, often associated with nineteenth-century dining and popularized by Edward Lears nonsense verse.

Georgian flatware is predominantly made from sterling silver, bearing standard British hallmarks including a makers mark, lion passant for sterling standard, leopards head for London assay, and a date letter.

Authentic pieces exhibit crisp, hand-engraved crests, appropriate wear consistent with age, correct punch-stamped hallmarks, and the distinctive weight and colour characteristic of eighteenth and nineteenth-century sterling silver.

Antique silver pieces can be integrated as functional serving items or displayed within glass cabinets to add historical contrast and metallic texture to modern minimalist or transitional dining spaces.

Antique silver should be washed gently in warm water with mild detergent and dried immediately with a soft cotton cloth, avoiding abrasive polishes that can wear down hallmarks and fine hand-engravings.
