A George V era silver christening set comprising a silver egg cup, egg spoon and napkin ring with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1929 (cup and ring) and 1928 (spoon, and makers mark for Barker Brothers. The silver egg cup and napkin ring are cast in plain smooth silver. The spoon has a scallop shell in relief on the reverse, possibly symbolising a safe journey in life. Both the eg cup and spoon bowl are gilt lined, a mark of quality. The items are in excellent condition, and come with the original navy blue velvet and silk lined box.
