Neat Georgian Mahogany Secretaire Bookcase

Description

Neat size, very good quality late 18th century Georgian mahogany secretaire bookcase. This two part bookcase is top quality and is a gorgeous colour. The base section has 4 drawers with the top one being a beautifully fitted secretaire drawer. The drawers are all mahogany lined with brass locks and original oval brass handles with gilt decoration. There is an oval inlaid boxwood and ebony line to the secretaire drawer.

The top section has two doors with curved "Gothic" style astragal glazing with nice shaped cornice above. There are three fully adjustable shelves inside. The bookcase is in very good condition with no issues to report.

SIZE; 43" wide by 20 1/2" deep by 87" high overall. The base section is 43" high. The bookcase section is 13" deep.
