Japanese Antique Imari Vase of Huge Size.

Description

A very large and wonderful ormolu mounted Imari vase . The vase is Circa 1700 , the ormolu is French circa 1800 - 1840 .

The ormolu is excellent quality and has been cleaned , we were both delighted and amazed at the totally original condition . There has been no ormolu gilding added to this vase , the colour is wonderful.

The vase is in very good condition for such a large vase of this period , there is no restoration and the colours remain strong .

The lid is perfect , the vase has a very slight stress line on the top rim which travels about 3 inches into the shoulder which is more than acceptable .

If you desire to own only one piece of Imari , this is the one for you !
