A lovely antique Gerobog chest. We date this chest to the second half of the 19th century.The chest has an attractive base with four large wooden wheels with shapely carved panels to the front and rear.The chest comprises a large rear hinged lidded box with large metal handles on either side of the chest. There is a small storage area at the top left hand side. The chest has attractive pierced metal corner brackets to each corner and is fitted with a lock (key supplied).The chest has a height of 29'' (74cm), a width of 47.5'' (121cm) and a depth of 20.5'' (52cm).This lovely chest remains in a good usable condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage.
