A stunning 18ct yellow gold most likely French Edwardian rose cut diamond necklace
 
HALLMARKS
 
There are no hallmarks, it is difficult to age this piece but I would determine Edwardian and most likely French in origin. Set in 18ct yellow gold on a 9ct chain
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
Large tear drop rose cut diamond; 6 x 8.5mm spreads 1.00ct
 
Further old rose cut diamonds; 2-3mm
 
Diameter of area set with diamonds; 42mm drop, 22mm across (the top 5 diamonds). Tear drop width at the bottom 13mm across
 
Total diamond content spreads 2.00 carats but as rose cut diamond are flat cut stones the diamond content would be less than this.
 
Necklace length 18 inches
 
Weight 7.5g
 
CONDITION
 
Good condition, minimal signs of wear. This is an absolutely stunning piece of jewellery
