Havard and Havard has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Made at the beginning of the 19th century, the cupboard has many attractive features: the rich colour and deep patina, the mahogany and chequer strung frieze with well proportioned ogee arches to the door panels, flanked on either side by quadrant pilasters, as well as panelled sides.
The five drawers set in an unusual arrangement provide lots of storage.
The striking handles, whilst not original, are of the period. Typically, the secondary timber is pine.
