Good pair of mid 20th century American Sterling silver candlesticks of tall classical shape. Round bases with fluted columns and tulip shaped tops. Fully marked to the bases. Marked GUMPS and also marked STERLING WEIGHTED to the bases. Made by THE EMPIRE SILVER COMPANY, NEW YORK, USA. The firm was renowned for producing high quality silverware.
