This item is an Art Nouveau silver, plique-à-jour enamel and mother of pearl pendant brooch from around 1900, attributed to Meyle & Meyer. The jewellery piece exhibits a sinuous silver frame holding an oval mother-of-pearl cabochon, flanked by green plique-a-jour enamel and red gemstone accents. Two dangling pearl drops hang from suspended chains below the central element. Hinged loops allow the chain to fold down when worn as a brooch, and the reverse displays the marks Deposé and 900. The object has a high polish finish on its silver components and a white iridescent surface on the central mother of pearl panel. The drop measures 4 cm high.
