Heritagem has dated this Art Nouveau Gold Locket to the 1900s.
Metal: 18kt yellow gold
Condition: Very Good
Hallmarks: French, the eagle’s head
Comments: This locket features the profile of Gallia, figurehead of Gaul. She wears a winged helmet, she has braids and we can see also a roaster, symbol of France. We can see it is written G A L L I A on the top edge. This locket was made at the very beginning of the 20th century, during the Art Nouveau. We can see a signature on the right side however it is quite hard to read, probably Besson. The locket is controlled twice on the inner rim by the French eagle’s head and on the bale too. It is in very good antique condition.
