Antique George IV Silver Basting Spoon

A wonderful example of a solid sterling silver basting spoon, dating from the short reign on George IV. It is clearly hallmarked on the reverse of the finial for London 1827, with the maker''s mark of William Chawner.
 
The spoon has light surface abrasions but otherwise is in excellent condition given its age.
